Remo Panaccione

Dr. Panaccione is an internationally recognized expert in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) which consists of Crohn’s disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC). His special interest lies in the implementation and performance of clinical trials of new therapies in IBD. He also performs research in identifying new targets to develop new therapies in IBD.
In addition to serving as the Director of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Clinic and Director of Gastroenterology Research at the University of Calgary, Dr. Panaccione is the Dean of Admissions and a Professor of Medicine at the Cumming School of Medicine. He is deeply invested in sharing his passion for medicine and inspiring the next generation of physicians.
